Storytelling Competition (English)
General Information
- The competition is open to active university students (Diploma, Undergraduate, or Postgraduate), both local and international.
- Participants must ensure that all submitted registration data is accurate and valid.
- By registering, participants agree to comply with all rules and regulations stated in this document.
Registration
- Registration must be completed through the registration link provided by the committee.
- The participants must upload a student ID card and a formal photograph with a shirt (or official varsity jacket if any).
Mandatory Workshop (Zoom)

All registered participants must attend this Zoom session.
The session includes:

Competition Format
The competition consists of two stages:
Video Submission
Live Performance
Story Theme
- Participants must choose one original folktale from their country of origin.
- The story must be delivered in English.
Preliminary Round – Video Submission Rules
- The participants must join the provision session on Zoom Meeting.
- The storytelling performance must be delivered fully in English.
- Duration: Minimum 3 minutes – Maximum 5 minutes.
- The video may be recorded using Zoom or any other recording platform.
- The registered participants must submit the video using YouTube or Google Drive link to the submission form provided by the committee.
- Video quality must be at least 720p (HD).
- The video must be recorded in one take (no editing, no cuts, no background effects).
- Participants are not allowed to receive assistance from any other person during recording.
- Participants must introduce themselves (full name and university), mention the title of the story. These must be stated at the beginning of the video.
- Participants are not allowed to read from scripts, cue cards, or notes.
- The use of properties (props) is allowed to support storytelling.
- Audio must be clear and free from disturbing background noise.
- The content of the story must not contain elements related to SARA (ethnicity, religion, race, inter-group conflict), discrimination, or harmful stereotyping.
Grand Final Rules
- Finalists must perform LIVE (onsite or online) in front of the judges and audience.
- The story must be the same as the one submitted in the preliminary round.
- The duration of the performance is 3–5 minutes.
- More elaborate props are allowed, but no digital background or pre-recorded audio.
- Participants must attend the technical meeting; absence may result in disqualification.
Judging Criteria
Judges' decisions are final and cannot be contested.

Storytelling Competition (Bahasa Indonesia)
General Provisions
- The competition is open to active foreign university students (non-Indonesian citizens) currently enrolled in higher education institutions.
- Participants may be: International students studying in Indonesia, or Students studying outside Indonesia.
- Participants must ensure that all submitted registration data is accurate and valid.
- By registering, participants agree to comply with all competition rules and regulations.
- Judges' decisions are final and cannot be contested.

Story Theme
The story themes are:
- 2. Participants must create an original storytelling performance related to Indonesian culture, values, folklore, or contemporary social themes.
- 3. The story must be delivered fully in Bahasa Indonesia.
Preliminary Round – Video Submission Rules
- Duration: Minimum 4 minutes – Maximum 7 minutes.
- Video quality must be at least 720p (HD).
- The video must be recorded in one continuous take (no cuts, no editing, no visual effects).
- Participants must: Introduce themselves (full name, university, country of origin), Mention the story title, Declare that the story is original.
- No scripts, cue cards, or visible notes are allowed.
- No assistance from other individuals is permitted.
- Physical props are allowed.
- Background music, dubbing, subtitles, or sound effects are not allowed.
- Audio must be clear and free from disturbances.
- Content must not contain SARA elements, discrimination, political propaganda, or harmful stereotypes.
Grand Final Rules
- Finalists must perform LIVE (onsite or online) in front of the judges and audience.
- The story must be the same as the one submitted in the preliminary round.
- The duration of the performance is 3–5 minutes.
- More elaborate props are allowed, but no digital background or pre-recorded audio.
- Participants must attend the technical meeting; absence may result in disqualification.
Judging Criteria

Preliminary Round – Video Submission Rules

- check Reading directly from a script during recording is prohibited.
- check Cue cards are allowed.
- check Wearing a school uniform in the recording is required.
- check PowerPoint slides, digital backgrounds, background music, or sound effects are not permitted.
- check Audio must be clear and free from disturbances.
- check Content must not contain SARA elements, hate speech, discrimination, political campaigning, or harmful stereotypes.
Grand Final Rules
- Finalists must deliver their speech LIVE (onsite or online) in front of the judges and audience.
- The duration of the speech is 4–6 minutes.
- No digital presentation tools, background music, or supporting performers are allowed.
- Participants must attend the technical meeting; absence may result in disqualification.

General Information

Competition Format
- Preliminary round is based on video submission according to technical requirements.
- Selected finalists will perform live in the grand final session.
- Performance duration and stage requirements follow the technical briefing.

Korean Calligraphy
General Information
- Competition is open for active students in Indonesia.
- Participants create Korean calligraphy artwork based on assigned or approved text.
- Work must be original and created by the registered participant.
- Judges' decisions are final and cannot be contested.
Submission Format
- Participants submit high-resolution photo/scan of the final artwork for preliminary assessment.
- File must be clear, unedited, and show full composition.
- Selected finalists may be requested to present process documentation in final session.
